Fire can help you keep warm, it can save your life. With fire you can cook your food, making it safer to eat if it was questionable to began with. well depending on how good of a cook you are.
You can purify water of possible water borne bugs. that are harmful to you. A warm tea or a good cup of joe can help warm you from the inside out. and much more…
Fire is the tool that makes preparation of many other tools and items possible. Fire elevates the spirit, and keeps creatures at bay on long dark nights. Modern man thinks he is so removed from it in his daily life..
but dig deeper you will still find it present in everyday life. We have stepped away from the fire, but not that far.
Playing with fire can be extremely dangerous! Fire demands respect! when treated with respect and given all the necessary safe guards it demands it can be managed (“played with in a sense” ) but you have to know what it dose under certain conditions. Its is a friend if the friendship is maintained. If that friendship is neglected.
It can be less productive, weak or die off completely. if it is nurtured with what it needs: Heat, Fuel, and oxygen. It thrives. however if it is let out of this box so to speak it can become out of control even turn into a monster feeding on everything it comes into contact with. Well, at least everything that is combustible.
So to play with fire is a term like unto a Lion Tamer. if you aren’t constantly on your guard it could with out warning and unexpectedly turn around and bite you! Even mar, maim, or kill you and all that matters too you. your loved ones, and all your stuff!
Even the phrase ” playing with fire ” its self has the unspoken connotation that you could get burned! You are taking your chances.
